Well, I am so happy to bring you an exclusive look of my time at #DaSweetBloodofJesus Listening party. The event took place in NYC with Spike Lee explaining how the movie Da Sweet Blood of Jesus was a independent project funded through Kickstarter. Spike Lee wanted to bring in that same independent spirit to the movie soundtrack. So Spike Lee asked through social for unsigned indendent artist to submit their music for Da Sweet Blood of Jesus soundtrack.
This listening party gave the media, critics, and fans a look at new independent artists.

Spike Lee's latest film Da Sweet Blood of Jesus was inspired by Ganja & Hess produced by Chiz Schultz. It was great to see Chiz Schultz come to this event and give his support for Spike Lee's latest project.

Renowned film editor Barry Alexander Brown, kown for his work on
Inside Man (2006), 25th Hour 25th Hour (2002), Malcolm X Malcolm X (1992), and Do the Right Thing (1989) was in attendence.

I got the chance to meet and take a photo with Spike Lee. Shout out to Johnny Nunez for taking the photo and letting me take a photo of it. This night was unforgettable filled with great music and innovative way support independent artist.

While listening to the album, we got to see some behind the scene clips from the movie on the wall of the venue. All in all the soundtrack really set a great atmospere not only for the movie but also for the night. A night full of great music to a great new film.
