July 9th was a night full of Hip hop at Prospect Park Bandshell! Only in Brooklyn can you find some of the hottest hip hop acts in the industry. So here is a look at Raekwon, Joell Ortiz, Smif-n-Wessum, Neek the Exotic and Large Professor, SKyZoo, Boot Camp Clik, and Rockness MonStar!
The crowd lost it when Raekwon. The entire crowd erupted and begin chanting Wu Tang! Raekwon performed a fan favorite C.R.E.A.M. You can never go wrong with classic hip hop. The Chef served up some serious Hip Hop with classic like Mary Jane, Ice Cream, Can't It all Be So Simple, and Criminology. Raekwon also presented a great new artist ,JD Era. JD Era is now a part of Raekwon's new record label, ICEH20 Record.
Raekwon performed Shimmy Shimmy Ya, a touching tribute to fallen Wu tang artist O.D.B. The whole crowd was singing right along with Raekwon. R.I.P O.D.B!
Raekwon also dropped street anthems "The Jihad", "Glaciers of Ice", "Verbal Intercourse", "Surgical Gloves", and "Rainy Dayz" from the acclaimed albums Only Built 4 Cuban Linx and Only Built 4 Cuban Linx Part 2. The mix of classic Raekwon records completed the night. Raekwon's DJ was going in on the 1's and 2's! Man he had the crowd going. I have to say is my compliments to The Chef!
