Force MD's

Here is the Force Md's, known for their smash hit "Love is a House". They were great and really put on a show! You know I lost my mind when they song "Tender Love." You know I lost my mind when I heard them sing that song! Force Md's sound exactly like their records. there are not many artist out there that can retain their sound after 30 years in the music industry! 

Jagged Edge

Jagged Edge was great. They perform all of their hits songs and some new joints from their album called The Remedy . I believe the album is available now.

Melanie Fiona

Melanie Fiona was the finally act for the event. She performed some of her recent hits and a New song 4 am which sounds like a hit to me. She sounded great and dare I say better live than the album. Melanie has some serious pipes on her!  Check out Melanie at http://www.melaniefiona.com/

These Louboutins boots are sick! I love the rocker look that Melanie was channeling. 

MMWOS SIdenote:  I was a bot surprise at that since most of the advertising for the event showed Jagged Edge as the Headliner. The concert was still great no matter what lineup it was. 

The live band and the background singers was great too! 

Kellee Maize - Mad Humans (Mad Men Remake)

This is a better alternative to some of this pop rap that is very popular on TV! I featured Kellee and her music MMWOS before and I hope to see more from her even if Mainstream music is apparently not ready!

MMWOS -Celebrating Brooklyn in Prospect Park with Raekwon and More

July 9th was a night full of Hip hop at Prospect Park Bandshell! Only in Brooklyn can you find some of the hottest hip hop acts in the industry. So here is a look at Raekwon, Joell Ortiz, Smif-n-Wessum, Neek the Exotic and Large Professor, SKyZoo, Boot Camp Clik, and Rockness MonStar!

 The crowd lost it when Raekwon. The entire crowd erupted and begin chanting Wu Tang! Raekwon performed a fan favorite C.R.E.A.M. You can never go wrong with classic hip hop. The Chef served up some serious Hip Hop with classic like Mary Jane, Ice Cream, Can't It all Be So Simple, and Criminology. Raekwon also presented a great new artist ,JD Era. JD Era is now a part of Raekwon's new record label, ICEH20 Record.

 Raekwon performed Shimmy Shimmy Ya, a touching tribute to fallen Wu tang artist O.D.B. The whole crowd was singing right along with Raekwon. R.I.P O.D.B!

Raekwon also dropped street anthems "The Jihad", "Glaciers of Ice", "Verbal Intercourse", "Surgical Gloves", and "Rainy Dayz" from the acclaimed albums Only Built 4 Cuban Linx and Only Built 4 Cuban Linx Part 2. The mix of classic Raekwon records completed the night. Raekwon's DJ was going in on the 1's and 2's! Man he had the crowd going.  I have to say is my compliments to The Chef!

Side note: I was a huge fan of onsmash.com! They had some great indie and unsigned artist full of talent on their site. Onsmash introduce people to new music from all over. It is a shame that it has become harder for great musicians and artist to get some shine. People would like to hear new music and not the same old sound that is constantly on the radio, BET, and Mtv rotation.
No more stale music in 2011! No More STAle Music for now on!
